The campaign, brought to life by creative agency The Minimalist, features actor Ali Fazal and adds a cinematic, humorous twist to the contrast between flashy moves and authentic rummy expertise.

The campaign is rooted in a unique product insight: Octro Play Rummy is the only platform in India offering both 13-card and 21-card rummy formats, but with a twist—players must form four-card sequences to win, rather than the typical three. This gameplay variation introduces a tougher challenge, demanding greater strategic thinking, patience, and skill. Presented through three quirky and fast-paced films, the campaign places Ali Fazal in a series of over-the-top audition-style scenes—ranging from dramatic acting to dance and cricket performances. However, each film ends by highlighting that flair isn’t enough on Octro Play Rummy—it’s real skills that make the difference. Ali’s character transitions from performer to serious player, reinforcing the platform’s core proposition in a witty and engaging style.
